Color wheel quilt

This was another assignment to do a color wheel but instead I had to use recycled materials. I started with a base painting and built up the painting with scraps of paper and magazine clippings.

Sledding with M-C smiles

This is how it looked (exactly) when I went over a huge snow jump, like 3 feet high! I most certainly could have broken my neck but instead I landed standing up and then tumbled the rest the way. It worked out and It was an amazing end to the day with my great friend M, who nearly killed herself a few times as well.

Small Paintings

I'm working small with my paintings, very small.  Last summer I found this tactic to work well for practicing art, usually each piece takes under 2 hours, and a very inexpensive sliver of paper and paint. There's always a pain to fail when setting out to create a piece, and with this, if I fail it's not too much a lose of time or material, because everything is really just scraps and spare time. Otherwise I'd be using my time watching two episodes of Call the Midwife, simple time to spare. I'm hoping to become more comfortable with these spare time paintings that I do one or two regularly every day. like little recaps of my day and feelings.
